Screening for Plagiarism Policy

KONSEL: International Bulletin on Interdisciplinary Studies is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. To ensure the authenticity of submitted manuscripts, all submissions are screened for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software.

Key Points:

  • Mandatory Plagiarism Check: Every manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes a plagiarism check before the peer-review process begins.

  • Similarity Threshold: Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 20%, excluding references, quotes, and commonly used phrases, will be subject to further review and may be rejected.

  • Handling Plagiarism Cases: If plagiarism or unethical overlap with previously published work is detected, the editorial team will take appropriate action which may include rejection of the manuscript or notification to the author’s institution.

  • Author Responsibility: Authors are responsible for submitting original work and properly citing all sources and previous publications.

  • Transparency: Authors may be asked to provide raw data or additional documentation if plagiarism concerns arise.

This policy is part of KONSEL’s commitment to uphold ethical publishing practices and to foster trust within the academic community.
